Ford Falcon/Fairmont XD-XF – 2022 Market Review

2022 Aussie Family & Sports Car Market Review - Ford Falcon/Fairmont XD-XF

As with other Falcon models, there is a huge and expanding value gulf between V8-engined XD-XE cars and the rest.

The differences can in part be blamed on scarcity, with very few genuine V8s appearing in the market and some of those featuring costly mechanical and other modifications. Basic six-cylinder XD-XFs in good condition cost less than $15,000 and that represents value for a roomy, classic family cruiser.

Spending $20,000 could slot you into a late-series XF Fairmont with fuel injection, all-disc brakes and probably air-conditioning as well.

The couple of V8 utilities that popped up were more expensive than sedans, however we will wait for next year’s numbers before declaring a trend.

XD-XF Falcon 6 $11,720 (38)

XD-XE V8 $35,500 (3)

XD Fairmont 6 $19,000 (4)

XE-XF Fairmont 6 $20,275 (9)

XD-XE Falcon/Fairmont V8 $36,840 (5)

XD-XE V8 Ute $45,120 (2)

XD-XE V8 Van $40,000 (2)
