Gotta love a sporty Ford six
Ford Capri V6/Cortina TC-TD Six/Sierra RS
With so few cars in the market, any rejoicing at the growth in Capri values needs to be muted.
We suspect that original V6 cars in excellent order will reach $40,000 but average-quality V6 and V8 versions remain sub-$30,000 prospects.
Scarce RS3100 Capris are rarely seen in our market anymore and o/s sales suggest $80-100,000 would be needed to buy one.
Survival rates for TC and TD six-cylinder Cortinas were at one time looking skimpy but as values improved so has availability.
An unmodified XLE 250 four-speed will possibly make $20,000.
Recent imports have improved availability of RS Sierras, however prices for quality cars remain at $55-70,000.
The rare RS500 can now top $120,000.
Capri V6 $39,165 [3]
Capri V8 Conversion $33,500 [4]
Cortina XL/XLE 1972-76 $12,900 [8]
Sierra RS $60,000 [4]
