Fibreglass Cars & Replicas 1966-2011 – 2021 Market Review

2021 Market Review - Fibreglass Cars & Replicas 1966-2011

Sad to say the recent market did not include any of the lovely local V8 Bolwell Nagaris that we know do survive from a production run of 118 cars. Based on movement in other realms of the local performance car market, a Nagari coupe should by now be worth over $120,000 with the scarce convertible up even more, but we have no confirmed sales.

Cobra replicas that were locally sold under various brands including DRB, RMC, Harrison and G-Force continue to attract buyers, even though some cars do struggle to justify six-digit prices.

DRB experimented briefly with the XR8-engined Cobra 540 and they drive well but bring considerably less money than the traditional AC-shaped cars.

A couple of manufacturers also produced decent replicas of the Le Mans Ford GT40 coupe and these, at around $150,000 are worth a look.
