2021 Market Review - Fiat 1955-1989
The Australian market for early Fiats has for many years been dominated by the brand’s smallest products.
The Nuova – or ‘new’ – 500 appeared here in the 1950s, disappeared in 1964 and came back in 1969. There was also a slightly larger 600D and excellent examples of either car now cost $35,000. Half that amount will buy a superb example of the useful 1500 sedan or 124 in Coupe or Spider form.
A good looking 124 Coupe topped $20,000 at auction. X1/9s remain available for less than $15,000 but you will need to pay $40-50,000 for a 130 V6 Coupe in excellent order. Asking prices for 850 Coupes are high at around $30,000.
500 Nuova/600D $32,700 [9]
1500 Sedan $15,000 [1]
850 Coupe $29,500 [2]
124 Coupe $17,975 [10]
124 Spider $22,850 [1]
X1/9 & Bertone $10,125 [4]
130 Coupe $53,285 [3]
