Ford Australia sent off the Falcon today in style

Great turn-out of historic cars at the fan day.

Today's Ford Fan Day at Avalon, held in conjunction with Wheels magazine, boasted a big fleet of historic cars, covering much of the nameplate's 50 year history in this country.

The event also featured an auction for the last of three Falcons and a Territory, which fetched big prices. Sprint number 500 attracted a whopping $122,000. See our separate story.

The money went to local causes.
