We’re sorry to report that Paul Halstead, the driving force behind the legendary Australian Giocattolo supercar, passed away on the evening of February 6 after a battle with ill health.
It is only a week ago that he attended a tribute to his work, in Melbourne.
Here he is pictured at centre stage, with long-time colleague and friend John Hickey at left. At right is the enormously talented engineer behind the creation, Barry Lock – also a long-standing friend.
Paul unquestionably was blessed with charisma, a great sense of fun, and was delightful company at the tribute.
