Geelong Revival 2016 video - Join GT at the hillclimb

Join our resident Beetle-racer Glenn Torrens as he gives us a quick intro to the latest thing to hit the Geelong Revival - a hillclimb.

Torrens had a rough day with a break down, but got going again.

Glenn Torrens, or GT, is always tinkering with something and is a regular feature in the workshop section of our mag - that's when he's not setting up big features.

In his spare time he races VW Beetles. He's scored some big hillclimb results with them, has had a crack at a speed record on Lake Gairdner with them and has even indulged in the odd sprint.

Here he gives us a quick intro to the latest hillclimb to join the Oz circuit, the Geelong Revival event, and explains why you might want to have a crack at it yourself.

It turns out the circuit has a tricky off-camber left-hander at one point, which caught out a lot of competitors, including him. However he did bounce back from a minor breakdown on day 1 to get some great results.
