Motorex 2014

Some seriously cool cars are coming to the 14th Meguiar’s MotorEx, held at the Melbourne Showgrounds in Ascot Vale on July 19 and 20. Showing off will be some of the sweetest hot rods, customs and motorbikes, tech-tuned rides, exotics, race cars, and more Aussie and American muscle than you can shake a gym membership at.

Over 20,000 square metres of show area will feature  400-plus stunning vehicles, with a combined worth in excess of $30 million. To accomodate such a show, event organisers will use three 'uniquely-different' themed pavilions, so you can be sure to find a section that caters to your taste.

Display vehicles will include several Touring Car Masters racers as well as Australia’s top burnout competition cars, Bathurst icons, HSV, GT Falcon, Corvette and Mustang owners’ clubs, awesome show cars and drag monsters. Elite Australian automotive artists and street engineering geniuses will also have displays.

Holden’s famed design studio will be bringing its remarkable Coupe 60, Hurricane and Efijy concepts and over 90 trade exhibitors will showcase their latest gear.

Dyno Dynamics will also be on-hand to run constant 'display runs' on its awesome dynamometer.

Entrants will be vying for 56 awards and a prize pool of nearly $100,000. Meguiar’s Best of Breed Street Machine and Meguiar’s Best of Breed Hot Rod are the show’s two most coveted awards. Each winner will receive $4000 cash as well as the imposing billet trophy masterpiece, which will ensure every entrant’s chamois and detailer are at the ready.

Other categories include the Meguiar’s Superstars, 3M Street Elite Showcase, Liqui-Moly Performance Garage and FreeStyle Rides Inauguration. Other stuff to see includes the nifty 3M Designer Wrap demonstrations, a new range of Chip Foose and MotorEx-branded merchandise, Jake Myers’ SICKO 1966 Mustang (complete with new livery), and us, of course!

Come say hello if you see our Unique Cars T-shirts around the place.
