2013 RACV Motorclassica
Something for everyone at Motorclassica - the Australian International Concours d'Elegance & Classic Motor Show
2013 RACV Motorclassica
Now in its 4th year, Melbourne's RACV Motorclassica - Australia's premier collector and classic car and motorcycle show - will be held on 25-27 October at the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton.
This year's event will celebrate 100 years of Aston Martin and styling house Bertone, 60 years of Chevrolet Corvette, 50 years of Lamborghini and 110 years of Harley-Davidson. In addition to more than 150 cars and motorcycles on show, the adjacent 'Club Sandwich' club displays will feature another 300 cars and motorcycles over the weekend.
Event Director, Paul Mathers, is expecting a full Australian International Concours d'Elegance list, with over 200 entries received for only 105 spots in the static competition. He says, "...this year can truly offer something for everyone."
"Exclusive artwork, collectable watches, overseas tours and travel, jewellery, antiques, memorabilia and collectables...it's not your typical automotive show."
"Whether you need to restore an entire car or motorcycle, get the original radio fixed, rebuild the instruments or organise storage, it'll all be here", he added.
In attendance will be 70 retailers including products for sale and highly-specialised restoration services supporting the collectable car and motorcycle industry. Holmesglen TAFE will also be present for those considering a career in automotive, with a display of a one-third scale model Bugatti built by its students.
A number of manufacturers, including Mercedes-Benz, Morgan and Jaguar, will also have their latest and greatest models on display.
