Meguiars-backed show springs a surprise

The inaugural Meguiar’s Cars and Coffee Bathurst 12-Hour addition was a huge hit with spectators, according to the organisers.

Held across the Saturday and Sunday of this year’s Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12-Hour, the display of cool cars had throngs of admiring people circulating through the gathering during both days.

With space constraints strictly limiting maximum numbers, organisers went out of their way to select quality over quantity, inviting 65 exotics from Italy, Germany and England, along with a smattering of renowned muscle cars, tough tuners and handful of Aussie classics.

On the Sunday there were three ‘Celebrity Choice’ awards up for grabs. Despite the impressive array of desirable and prestigious supercars, Aussie motorsport icon John Bowe picked Greg Cook’s mint 1966 HR ute as his favorite ride – it seems everyone loves an Aussie classic!
