Dodge Polara/Coronet/Charger 1964-73 – 2019 Market Review

Dodge Polara/Coronet/Charger 1964-1973

Fully-imported Dodge models were once rare on Australian roads but that changed during the 1990s with lots of new arrivals.

The Polara and Monaco, usually seen as pillarless four-door hardtops, are a step up from the local Phoenix and with prices boosted accordingly. Then comes a big jump to the ranks of Dodge’s genuine ‘muscle’ cars; the Coronet R/T, Superbee and Charger.

Had TV and film producers not deified the Charger with roles such as the General Lee in Dukes of Hazzard and the ‘bad guys’ car in Bullitt, values might not be where they are today or climbing as fast.

However, here we are with early Chargers – especially R/Ts – tapping on the window of $100,000 and unlikely to go backwards.

Polara/Monaco 1964-72 $39,465 [7]

Coronet RT/Superbee 1967-72 $86,600 [3]

Charger 1966-70 $101,285 [7]

Charger 1971-73 $59,925 [6]
