This piece of Australian motoring history has been extensively restored over a 5 year period with just about every part replaced, refurbished or repaired to an almost new, if not new, standard by a well known restorer of French automobiles in Perth. Simca is a very intriguing brand and has a strong history in Australia. A French brand, owned by Chrysler Europe at the time and locally assembled in Adelaide, these Arondes performed well in Motorsport due to their robust build and reliable underpinnings. Picture of one here Autopics competing at Phillip Island in 1961.

This car was completely dismantled and stripped back and has received a bare metal restoration costing well in advance of the asking price. Originality has tried to be respected along the way as much as possible.

Rush Engine, gearbox, suspension and brakes have been rebuilt with new tyres, new battery and electrical overhaul completed. Matching numbers confirmed.

Described as one of the best Arondes in the Southern Hemisphere by Simca club members who have seen the car, this little gem is the perfect entry level into classic car ownership for someone who wants a reliable and easy to drive small sports sedan.

I am the second owner with the car having been in the same SA family since new.

Full documentation of the restoration is included in sale, original books with stamped service history, workshop manuals and literally a boot load of valuable spares including a floor shift conversion for those not au fait with a column shift or wanting to use it as a historic competition vehicle. Parts are included for down the track and the Simca Club of Australia is a great network of information.
