SOLD: An attractive Guards Red SC, UK-supplied with 89k miles.

Porsche Classic navigation system, USB connectivity, Bilstein shock absorbers, Electric windows, Electric sunroof, Leather steering wheel, Cassette holder, Porsche overmats.

The Guards Red paintwork exhibits a radiant shine and is free from any fading, a common issue with colours such as this. The SC's classic lines are unmistakable, and finished with those gleaming Fuchs alloys it really looks the part. The paintwork remains in very presentable condition with few imperfections to note.

Equipped with front and rear Bilstein shocks this example sits nice and low, maintaining an assertive presence with its flared rear arches. In keeping with earlier 911s this 1980 model features polished window trim, door handles, and headlamp surrounds, which stand out beautifully against the Guards Red coachwork.

The red theme continues inside the vehicle with the bold seat inserts, piping, and door cards. The upholstery is in good order with only minimal wear to the seats and bolsters. What's more, this 911 features electric windows and sunroof, and also boasts a newly fitted Porsche Classic radio navigation system, with USB connectivity.

On closer inspection there are one or two tiny marks here and there but nothing to detract from the overall aesthetic. The dash remains in very good order but the headlining is showing some signs of age, with a couple of marks around the sunroof opening. Overall the cabin is in keeping with its classic appeal.

Beneath the rear lid everything appears in great order, having benefitted from several thousand pounds worth of maintenance since 2014. There is no corrosion to be found, and the cooling fan has been treated to a fresh coat of Guards Red.

The SC uses the 2993cc Turbo-based 930 engine with milder camshafts that enhance the maximum torque and improve the engine's flexibility. The five-speed manual transmission operates well, allowing smooth and precise gear changes.

This example sits on the original set of 16-inch Fuch wheels, which present in good order. In keeping with the period trim around the car the alloys have been stripped of their usual black coating, and now display a striking polished finish.

The wheels are shod in a matching set of Pirelli P6000 tyres, which have ample tread remaining. Furthermore, the brakes do a great job of pulling the car to halt in a straight line; new front pads and discs have been recently fitted.

The 911 was first registered in August 1980 and has since covered 88,654 miles. Having spent the majority of its life in Northern Ireland, the car has covered relatively few miles for its age and is present with numerous annual test certificates to confirm this.

Present in the history file are several recent invoices from UK Porsche specialists for various works carried out since 2014, totaling close to £18k. There is also a Porsche Driver's Manual, V5C, and a number of Irish Vehicle Test Certificates. The car is complete with a clean MOT until June 2016.
