Do you want to drive in comfort and style on an affordable budget? This Nissan Cima is an excellent choice.

We imported this 2001 Cima XV from Japan in September 2013 and have been driving it regularly since as its only Australian owners. It has been awesome; super reliable, comfortable and good on fuel.

We imported it with a genuine 80,000klm on it (Japanese de-registration papers included in the sale to prove this), and have since put 210,000klm of easy motoring on it for the current reading of 290,000klm. While the klms may seem high, these cars are well built to serve as limos. The 210,000klm were primarily easy highway driving as I commuted weekly between Sydney and Canberra. The car still runs and drives beautifully.

The Cima was Nissans top spec model and is full loaded with everything you could expect in 2001 and more. It was one of the first direct injected petrol cars which is why the fuel economy is so good for a 4.5l v8; I have been getting 9.2l/100 (10.9klm/l). It has electric everything including windows, front seats with passenger foot rest, boot close, and the external mirrors include autofold when you lock the car. The AV system includes TV inputs, reversing camera with guide lines, single CD and cassette tape (!) in the console, glove box CD stacker and DVD all in a pop up screen (menus are in Japanese but key functions are easy to find). It has auto xenon headlights, heaps of internal courtesy lighting, front seat heaters, dual zone aircon, cruise control with steering wheel controls, electric steering wheel adjustments (tilts in and out of the way when you turn the car off to ease entry/exit). Safety wise it has 4 airbags, seatbelt pretensioners, traction and stability control. The car drives super quietly with plenty of sound deadening and thick glass to keep the noise out.

I have made some minor modifications to the car; I have added Bluetooth for phone and audio (top quality Parrot 9100), USB charger on the dash, there is an LED light bar mounted behind the front grill that comes on with the high beams and daytime running lights that are on when the headlights are not for visibility. There is additional auxiliary power in the boot (I used it for a fridge), all LED interior lighting and there is a oversize exhaust which gives it a nice note and a little extra go over the standard 206kw.

Externally the car is in good condition for its age and klm; it does have some minor scratches and bumps.

In the time we have owned the car it has been serviced every 10,000klm and has had very few issues; we have had to replace tyres, brake pads, starter motor and an air flow meter. All electrics work and the car is mechanically good. It has done about 200klm since the last service and has rego until September. There are no error lights or codes.

I am selling only because we were looking for something a little newer - we were so happy with this car we have replaced it with Nissans newer equivalent top of the line car, a Fuga.

The car is located near Goulburn (2 hours from Sydney, 1.5hrs from Canberra) and we are happy for in person or video call inspections to understand the car's condition. Price is $9,500 or reasonable offers for the car with two keys.
