Description
1949 MG TC ROADSTER
SN4461 VIN:TC9934 ENG:XPAG10744
$49,500
(To be sold UN-Registered & with Vic RWC)
RESTORED TC WITH UPRATED BRAKES
Following the end of WWII, MG introduced the TC, produced in only right hand drive configuration, the roadster was aimed towards the young and adventurous who were now able to claim back their youth. Widely acknowledged as the catalyst of the postwar sports-car revolution in the USA, with the American GI's based in the UK and Europe having fallen in love with their lightweight sporting characteristics.
Presenting stunningly in brilliant Black paintwork, this TC is complemented by the 19 painted wire wheels, chrome bodied headlights, chrome grille shell with painted Garnet vertical slats and matching superb leather trimmed interior. The walnut veneered dashboard is adorned by restored Jaegar instruments and a Bluemel's Brooklands Steering Wheel. The soft top hood, side screens and tonneau cover are all in a light tan quality fabric.
Restored by Maintaining The Breed of Mudgeeraba Queensland, in 2006, this stunning Black TC is mechanically standard, with the only obvious deviation being the fitment of a remote brake booster (fitted in front of the rear axle), The wire wheels are fitted with correct, Excelsior 19 x 4.5 cross-ply tyres, ensure that the steering is still light, whilst the high aspect ratio provides a compliant ride.
If your passion is a T Series MG then this beautifully restored TC will tick all the boxes. An ideal classic car to tackle the open road and immerse yourself in what period motoring is all about. Wind your way through the hills with the crisp sound of the exhaust echoing, or maybe something as simple as a quick jaunt for morning coffee.
