Selling my left hand drive Automatic 1967 Horizon blue 250sl 2 tops USA spec
Very RARE original color code 304G Horizon blue Automatic and power steering chassis no. 11304312000513 with contrasting dark blue interior and dark blue hard top with dark blue soft top.
I bought this myself in person from the USA, which I am happy to verify. It is original USA spec car still showing its hand leaded notches by the lights, Original spot welds on inside edge of the wings, original matching number stamped in left corner of the bonnet, Original number stamped under air filter pipe. The car is completely solid underneath and rust free in original condition. The previous owner had kept the car garaged and well maintained which is backed up with loads of old invoices covering thousands being spent in maintenance over the years, IE the Bosch fuel pump being sent away for rebuild a couple years ago. The car comes with its original Service booklet with a few service stamps inside right from very first service 1-26-1968 at 324 miles by Mercedes Jack Ingram motors.
The car still has its original complete tool kit in the boot with very rare original wheel change label, complete with its original jack, Jack handle and wheel choke and boot mat. The previous owner also gave me its original Becker radio which I have not yet installed back into car. The original Kangol seat belts are still in the car. The car is still showing some of original paint in the inside of the wheel wells which was also painted the same color as body from factory, The inside of bonnet still shows the original paint run marks from factory.
The engine bay is very clean and tidy with a little bit of surface rust by brake booster and the boot is clean and rust free.
The car was repainted some years ago, but still in its original color code 304G Horizon blue. There are a couple of chips which were touched up and can only been seen from very close up. There is a complete set of original keys, not recuts. Everything is working as it should from gauges, clock, heating, lights, glove box light, boot light.
The car benefits from new interior carpet and seats which was done by previous owner and looks really nice. I state its a USA Spec car, however I had brand new OEM European lights installed earlier this year, which was not cheap and I have the invoice here. At same time I had fitted a new OEM front windscreen with new OEM windscreen seal which totally transforms the car and it also comes with a complete set of new chrome wheel trims, a new battery and new inner and outer track rod ends both sides. It has been serviced with new oil and filter, fuel Filter, air filter, plugs, send and return fuel lines blown through clean. The old coolant was drained with new coolant added. The car Idles well at 700rpm with spot on oil pressure.
The car has an MOT until 27th AUG 2020. UK registration is MKH656E with the V5 document in my name and address.
