Description
My Original Sunrise Red 1979 RX7 Series 1 Mazda with black interia is up for sale following 34 great years of ownership.
This beautiful machine with its 1.1-liter rotary engine producing 100 horsepower and 105 lb-ft of torque. runs as well as the day it hit the road even though it has a genuine 220k kms on the clock.
This vehicle is completely original, the duco the interia is close to perfection, there are 2 additions only. Cruise control and a professional fitted sun roof. There is no rust and I mean NO RUST anywhere.
I am the second owner of this fantastic little beast, the previous owner, a lady in Sydney was a close friend, so I was informed at purchase, of Barry Jones the mechanic for the great Allen Moffat who is of course the successful race driver for Mazda Works Team in Australia, Allan winning the Australian Endurance Championship in 1982 and 1983 in his blue and white RX7. Barry took this RX7 in for the lady in question stripped and blue printed the rotary engine to a level close to race specification, the balance of this little engine is still as smooth as the day it was done.He also colour matched Moffats spare front and rear spoilers which add a discrete enhancement to the car. On purchase I took back to Barry in
Yagoona Sydney and had him go over the car which he new well and had it tuned, boy what a difference it made when someone knows what they are doing.
