For sale is a SURVIVOR quality 460ci Big Block powered Lincoln Continental Mark V with a genuine 37,611 miles on the clock. For sale from Allynbrook, NSW.
1978 was the final year Lincoln Continental buyers could option the 460 4V Big Block motor on their new car. Mated to the C4 automatic and 9" diff, this was 5.8 metres of luxury motoring offering the well heeled super successful buyer the opportunity to demonstrate their success with four wheels.
Fitted to this stunning Wedgewood Blue Lincoln Continental is the 1978 only optional simulated-convertible white canvas-embossed vinyl "Carriage Roof" with an interior trim panel vanity mirror in lieu of opera windows. Other options selected for this example include the new for 1978 digital (L.E.D. display) "Miles-to-Empty" fuel indicator, original blue leather trim, Cartier time/date time piece, tilt steering, cruise control, 6-way power seats, dual exhaust and distinctive Turbine Spoke alloy wheels.
This museum quality Lincoln was imported to Australia in 2009 from Arizona and is totally original and unrestored. The Lincoln is supplied with import paperwork, the original order details, owners manual, the original Arizona registration paperwork and a set of keys.
The current owner has recently re-gassed the Air conditioning and the Lincoln still features the original never used Michelin spare tyre in the boot.
The Mark V is riding on All Season Dominator white wall tyres 225/75R15 all round.
This is certainly a car that makes a grand statement. A true reflection of a time gone by. A big powerful American preserved in a condition we have not seen before.
