This extremely rare, works rally-spec Fanalone delivered by Lambda Motors (Darlinghurst NSW), which features the larger than standard inner spotlights benefits from an older, comprehensive restoration. After being returned to bare metal the body is finished in the popular Lancia combination of Grigio Escoli Metallizzato and is complemented by a black leather interior with timber dashboard. The restoration process involved sourcing numerous hard to find spares including intricate trim pieces and badges.
The currently fitted HF V4 (#05756), was re-built and tuned by the renowned Vere Lancia of the Netherlands in ~2008, producing 138.4hp and 180.8Nm at the front wheels and is paired to a 5-speed S2 gearbox. The original engine (#1169) matching the chassis number, with original piggy back S1 gearbox (#162) is included in the sale with this rare Lancia HF.
The lightweight design was achieved through the help of the aluminium bonnet, boot lid and doors. The Fanalones rally history includes success at the 1969 Elba, Spanish and RAC rallies, the 1970 Portuguese and RAC rallies and the 1972 Monte Carlo, Sicily and Moroccan rallies.
