2007 FPV GT BF II for sale $115,000

From 1967 to 2014 the Falcon GT reigned supreme on the race track and in the hearts of all blue blooded Aussie Muscle car enthusiasts. Over the years, to celebrate the launch of the Falcon GT, several Anniversary models have been released. Like the Grand Daddy XR GT, these have all been limited edition specials released by FORD/Tickford/FPV. The first was the release of the 25th Anniversary EB GT Falcon in 1992. Then came the EL GT Falcon in 1997 for the 30th Anniversary. And then for the 40th Anniversary, the BF GT Falcon R-SPEC was released in 2007. All these very special Anniversary models were built to celebrate the legendary Falcon GT and are now quickly becoming celebrated collectors items.

For sale is an absolutely perfect example of the 2007 FPV Falcon GT R-Spec in as brand new condition with only 7,090 Kilometres on the clock. Build No. 41 is one of only 200 GT 40th Anniversary models built. Featuring it's unique build number badge, all FPV log books and manuals and finished in the signature Silhouette black with striking gold over-body stripe kit, reminiscent of the classic GT stripe kit last seen on the XC Falcon Cobra Hardtop in 1978. Gold GT lower body stripes with a '40th Anniversary' decal, accent colour treatment on the side skirt flutes and rear spoiler pillars, and special GT-P 19-inch alloy wheels with gloss black accents complete the standout exterior package.

The interior of the Anniversary model is equally distinctive. With FPV sports seats finished in a combination of leather and suede, featuring silver thread highlights and an embroidered 'GT' logo. FPV floor mats with '40th Anniversary' logo inlay match the exterior touches, while an iPod/MP3 audio player connection, which integrates with the FPV audio system provides the musical entertainment. That is unless you prefer the wonderous exhaust note instead.

In addition to the unique 40th Anniversary features that transform the GT visually, FPV also designed a new suspension package to take the handling prowess of its latest model to new heights. The 'R-Spec' handling pack incorporates an advanced level of suspension tune, allowing customers to fully exploit the potential of the GT 40th Anniversary in track days and club sprint events. According to FPV/Prodrive, "a critical element of the engineering of the R-Spec package is the need to optimise the race track potential of this special FPV model, while not compromising the ride and handling balance of the vehicle. This package is aimed at those people who want a daily driver that can also mix it with the best at a club sprint event."

Build No. 41 is a two enthusiast owner GT Falcon which has led a charmed life. The car is in absolutely immaculate condition throughout and under the gold-emblazoned bonnet sits the all matching numbers 290kW Boss 5.4-litre V8, with six-speed Tremec manual transmission. (Of the 200 GT 40th Anniversary models built, 111 were manual and 89 were built with the auto.)

The paint work is in impeccable condition and the interior shows no wear or tear with the immaculate 40th Anniversary floor mats also still in place. The GT comes with the FPV log books, owners manuals, two sets of keys, a new car brochure, a Sinclair Ford FPV cap plus the original sales invoice from Ford. The GT is riding on the original Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres and even the battery is the original FPV installed item. Build No. 41 is registered in NSW until December, 2022 with the personalised number plates RARE41 included for a NSW buyer. The car still has the Sinclair Ford number plate frames fitted at the dealership.
