An older paint job, the factory Nugget Gold XY Fairmont has been upgraded with a mild 351 Cleveland V8, factory C-4 auto and 9" diff. Correct GT striping on the flanks and bonnet, GT driving lights, bib spoiler, Bathurst Globe wheels and GT tear drop mirrors take care of the full GT exterior styling.
On the inside the Fairmont features retrimmed black front seats with original rear seat, factory dash with GT steering wheel and T-Bar floor shifter. Just add a GT dash with 8,000 rpm tacho, 140 mph speedo and the job is done.
Mechanically, the XY runs a maintained 351 2V Cleveland, Holley 650 Vac Sec, mild cam and Pacemaker extractors through to a dual 2 1/2" exhaust. The gearbox is a C4 and the XY is running a rebuilt 3.00:1 9" LSD diff.
Riding on original 15" Bathurst Globe wheels with new tyres plus an original boot mat and spare plus tools in the boot. The XY is also fitted with GT style bonnet locking pins, GT fuel cap, driving lights, bumper over riders and rear venetian.
