This stunning Ford XW GTHO Phase II replica is the perfect alternative. Beginning life as a factory V8 Fairmont and further transformed into the car you see here today using endless amounts of genuine parts. The car was resprayed approximately 15 years ago in its original colour of Grecian Gold and showed absolutely no evidence of any accident damage or rust. Once painted the car was fitted up with many genuine parts such as genuine interior (with the exception of the front carpet, headliner and sunvisors), genuine GT hood with hood scoop and brake duct and lastly all the badging both inside and out.The running gear consists of a 351 Cleveland originally from an XA GT which has been fitted with a solid lifter camshaft, Holley 750 double pumper and a genuine twin point distributor that has been converted to an MSD electronic version. Hit the key and your ears are treated to the classic V8 sound thanks to a pair of Pacemaker 4 into 1 extractors with 3 collectors and new 3 exhaust with a pair of 3 stainless Magnaflow mufflers and 2 1/2 tail pipes with chrome tips for that factory appearance. As you would expect, a four speed Top Loader transmission with a new Centreforce clutch and a billet flywheel, new 3 1/2 tailshaft and a 9 diff with a True Trac 3.5 centre help get the power to the ground. Other newly fitted parts consist of a new 36 gallon fuel tank, fuel sender and fuel line. The suspension has also been treated to new upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends and all new brake pads. Includes a custom CoverCraft car cover and MY70GT QLD issued number plates if purchased by a Queensland buyer.
