The last of the square headlight model that topped the XF Falcon range was Ford's ZL Fairlane. Gone, supposedly for good, was the V8 engine and in its place the EEC-IV electronic engine management system that better controlled the spark and fuel for improved fuel economy and drivability. The head had larger intake valves and new high swirl combustion chambers that also contributed to the better fuel consumption. The all new 4.1-litre EFI engine produced 120kW at 4000 revs and standard with the EFI engine was a 3 speed automatic transmission, four-wheel disc brakes and power steering.

For sale is this super low mileage example of the ZL Fairlane. Originally sold by Grawill Motors, Gosford, NSW the Fairlane has had one registered owner since new. Delivered in August 1987, the car has been sparingly used and presents in near showroom condition throughout. In stunning original day one Nutmeg Metallic paint with totally original velour trim, this stand out example is totally original and unmolested and features factory climate controlled Air conditioning, power windows, central locking, electronic dash and cruise control. The car features the factory Pioneer radio/cassette player and electric aerial. The front seats have been covered since new and are in as new condition under the covers as is the carpet.

On the exterior the Fairlane features the all original factory Nutmeg metallic paint, rubbers, chrome and factory glass. The ZL is riding on the factory Snow Flake 15" alloy wheels with roadworthy tyres. Open the boot and the original boot mat is in immaculate unmarked condition with the original unused Bridgestone Supercat tyre and rim plus factory tools still in their rightful place.

This is an exceptional example of the ZL Fairlane model and comes with the original receipt of purchase, the original registration papers, the owners log books and manuals, two sets of keys and some service receipts.
