The current owner has owned this car since the 1990s and has invested approx. $500,000 in building and maintaining this gorgeous street rod. This ALL STEEL 1933 Ford Coupe hot rod was formerly owned by Larry Woods, co-founder of Mattel Hot Wheels fame. You can buy this car today, trailer it to a show and undoubtedly win trophies on day 1.

Please note that it is right hand drive and currently located in Australia. Converting it back to left hand drive if desired is very doable and reasonable.

VIN # is SN2613388 and engine number is V817P.

This car has been invited to participate in the Meguiars MotorEx Superstars show (1219. 2021) in Australia. Approx. 60 of the best cars that were built over the last 20 years are invited to participate in the prestigious competition. The Grand Champion will be crowned and this car has a great chance of winning Best car of all time in Australia. That says a lot about the quality of this car. As they say however, its quite an honor just to be invited.

Starting with the body, it was in great shape when handed over to Deuce Customs in Melbourne, Australia. They braced it out, did the 3 roof chop, filled the opening in the roof, the firewall remade and recessed. A new floor was created and fitted throughout leaving the show finish needed ( beautiful job ). An 80 liter fuel tank fabricated and mounted behind the seat. A lot of time went into the original fenders to show quality and fit, the front fenders were joined to the running boards for that clean flowing look. The tilt hood was made up from an original, again to wow at shows. Deuce Customs also did a massive amount of smaller tasks such as fitting the air conditioning and the condenser mounted at the rear, the 39 tail lights, the flush mount gas filler, door hinges shaved etc. Electric windows were fitted, the trunk now also is opened by remote. The body was made ready for the mold to be taken to create the countless fiberglass bodies sold world wide and then handed over to the paint shop where 9 coats of Hot House green were applied.

Alongside Deuce Customs, a company called Rod City went to work on the original chassis where it was boxed, smoothed, X member fitted, and the extra members needed for suspension and engine etc. The chassis was stepped and tubbed. The narrowed Ford 9 was fitted along with the parallel 4 bar coil overs. A fully detailed independent front end was fitted with rack and pinion. The brake lines were run through the chassis for the clean look, A custom bench seat was fabricated, seat belt mounts, and a host of other details.

The drivetrain is a 4 bolt 350 bored 0.10 with Arias blower pistons, 81, steel crank, all internals balanced and blueprinted, Crow cam, Melling oil pump, Edelbrock aluminium heads, Weiland blower manifold, 671 blower, 2 x Holley 650 detailed carbs, Weiland polished water pump and MSD ignition. Detailed air compressor, alternator, starter motor, polished oil pan, custom headers, custom engine mounts. Instead of de burring the block, custom made polished aluminium covers that fit under the engine mounts and hug the motor and makes the engine look like a block of aluminium were fabricated. Looks fantastic and duly noticed by the show judges. Scatter shield bell housing is a fully chromed unit, the gearbox is a Ford top loader 4 speed with every part fully chromed. The driveshaft is a heavy duty fully chromed and polished. The differential is a Ford 9 LSD polished Strange unit.

The brakes are all disc, the calipers polished and detailed. The rotors chromed with braided lines. Detailed booster and master cylinder. Custom made pedal assembly fully polished.

The interior is simple and clean and has a tremendous air of class. Quality leather was used along with Mercedes Benz carpeting a d headliner, Billet Speciality steering column and wheel. The latest Dakota needle gauge set, -) seat belts, billet handles, electric windows, (the switches and controls ( are all hidden above the driver in the headliner). The complete interior is beautifully finished. The trunk is finished to the same high standard.

Head lights used are 34 commercial with the turn signals fitted into the buckets. The grill is the cars original and its been restored to a beautiful finish. The radiator is a Walker with a electric fan. The wheels are a new set hand made from Real Rodder with Spinners 15 x 12 and 15 x 5. Tires are Hoosier. The car runs and drives beautifully.

This is the first time that its been on the market since the 90s. Quite a rare opportunity.

This car although completed in 2004, still shows beautifully today. This is a tribute to the very high quality paint and body work and build quality. The owner notes that he spent approx. $65,000 in 2019 to freshened up the car cosmetically. This included: Interior had new headliner installed, new carpeting, the console around the gear shifter, new steering wheel, new set of Dakota gauges, glove box lid, the trunk was fully redone. The blower was sent out and taken down and rebuilt, New rocker covers were painted, carbs sent out and rebuilt and chromed. New plugs and leads. Headers sent out and re-coated. The full exhaust sent out and fully polished. Heaps of Aluminum parts sent out for polishing. The rear end painted, steering rack painted, oil pan, All new brakes throughout, new calipers and polished, new booster and painted, The 4 rotors sent out and chromed along with the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. Bell housing sent out and chromed. New set of Rodder wheels and Hoosier tires . Water pump and radiator painted and serviced. The switches inside were relocated into the headliner (out of sight). More chrome under the hood. Tail lights and the grill sent out and fully done. Under side of the hood repainted (it really didnt need it but it got done). Air conditioning re-charged, hoses and belts changed.
This car, in a more simple state, left Larry Woods collection in the 70s and went to Tasmania. Car sat in Tasmania for 20 years without being touched. In the 90s, it went to Australia when the current owner purchased it. The car was completed in 2004 at a cost of approx. $500,000. To duplicate it today would be at least $1 million. Once completed, this amazing hot rod went on the Australian car show circuit where it won every award possible.

This beautiful custom hot rod has won everything in Australia and has been in books and magazines all over the world. The build is heavily documented and the car today is near perfection (nothing is perfection). This is a Riddler quality car at a fraction of the build cost. Please examine the pictures carefully as they show the incredible details that went into building this car.!!!
