Description
Ferrari 250 GTOs need no introduction to any motoring enthusiast. In the USA in the1980s fibreglass GTO bodies were created to fit over Nissan S30 unibodies. Ferrari moved to stop such creations but were ultimately unsuccessful.
- This unique recently Australian built car utilises one of two known Charlie Puckett (Cal. USA) Berlinetta bodies. Regarded as crème de la crème of GTO bodies. The bodywork has been further enhanced with the installation of wider sills and low-profile doors.
- This is a rotisserie build on a media-blasted, reinforced Nissan S30 unibody. The welding was undertaken by a former Lotus F1 fabricator.
- Many bespoke components were machined by a former John Wyer, Gulf Porsche, fabricator.
- Drivetrain was sourced from a VZ SS Ute - LS1 5.7 ltr (335hp), Tremac 6sp, ZF LSD. 80k km pre-build.
- Approx 15k km post-build.
- Fully adjustable rear arms, coil-overs all round. Wilwood brakes.
- Finished 2017.
- There is sheet aluminium on the interior representing original 1962 racing trim.
- The builder was in constant liaison with the approving engineer throughout construction, and the vehicle thus has full Engineering Approval documentation.
- An extensive, colour printed, 100-page construction documentation is provided. It contains over 30,000 words and over 400 images.
- The car is presently on club plates but can sell on full rego if requested.
