I bought this car around 18 years ago as a box of bits to restore which was finally completed in July 2017.
She is an original August 1958 UK supplied car and has had 5 previous owners.
All rotten panels were replaced. The bonnet is fibreglass and front hinging for better access to the engine bay.
All components have been refurbished or replaced and lightened/improved where possible.
Paint is Austin Healey Ice Blue and the underside has been coated against stone chips etc.
Interior is Black, seats are Black Leather with white piping.
Dash is aluminium, specially made with Racetech gauges.
Suspension has been lowered 1", up rated/lightened/improved with extra top link at front, rose jointed anti-roll bar and re-valved dampers.
Rear has Panhard rod, top links and re-valved dampers.
Brakes - Front, 10 1/4" special disks with race calipers and pads with bias adjuster.
Rear, Mintex shoes with lightened drums.
Revolution wheels, Yokohama sport compound tyres.
Drive Train - Diff. 3.7 with LSD
Gearbox - Jack Knight straight cut
Engine - A series 1380cc, Omega pistons, wedged and x-drilled crank, balanced and lightened con rods, MED full race head, MED race cam, lightened push rods and followers, MED crank damper, MED alloy vernier timing kit, MED crank damper, Race clutch' Maniflow inlet and exhaust, Webber 45DCOE.
Aldon race ignition+coil with magnecor leads
Special alloy radiator and oil cooler, Davies Craig electric water pump and fan with control.
Lightweight race battery, alloy alternator.
Electric fuel pump. Large aluminium, baffled fuel tank.
Car has been set up on a rolling road and is set up to pull cleanly from 1500rpm. Power was measured at 130BHP at 5000 rpm with a redline of 8000rpm.
The car did 3,000 miles last summer touring France without a glitch and has been unused since.
She is now ready for a new owner to appreciate her and the sheer driving experience she gives. Between the power, handling, brakes and exhaust note, this is an exceptional car to drive and own.
