2. Fast Femme – Rosemary Smith’s Driven book
We’re a little embarrassed to admit we hadn’t heard of Rosemary Smith until this book landed in the office. She contested the Monte Carlo rally eight times, as well as competing in most other iconic rallies all over the world, including the London to Sydney in 1968, the World Cup London to Mexico and the East African Safari Rally. In a Hillman Imp, Rosemary won the Tulip Rally outright. It’s a great biography of a life that had plenty of challenges. Published by Harper Collins. Retails @ $33. harpercollins.com.au
3. Time Machine
If you missed out on the DMC diecast models, perhaps this will grab you. A DMC time machine, aka a watch. This one doesn’t have gullwing doors but does sport a Japanese movement and its stainless steel case is 44mm. It is water resistant and the dial, complete with DMC logo is vaguely reminiscent of the speedo. Four exposed bolts surround the black bezel. It has a black leather strap with grey stitching and comes in a presentation box. dmc-watch.com
