Yes, there is a nicely presented house
It‘s not every day we cover property sales, but when you see the garage at this place, you’ll understand why we latched on to this one. Let’s get the important stuff out of the way first, shall we?
Located on a battleaxe block in inner east Melbourne, there is a two-storey gable-roof eight-car garage, with hoist, plus office, bedroom, bathroom and storage rooms upstairs. Oh, and there’s a double carport.
Yes, there is a large and nicely-presented house. It has five bedrooms and a study or two plus a host of other amenities. It looks lovely.
But back to the garage…we tripped over this while doing a Reader Ride piece for our next issue (462).
When we saw it, there were four cars in residence, with room to place another four, plus a hoist underneath the high ceiling. You could conceivably fit more hoists for additional car places.
One thing we liked was that when you drive up to the place, there is no hint of a massive garage out back – it’s well-hidden from the street.
