Ruby’s Ride n Roll fund-raiser

Do you have a classic car or motorbike? Join us on this fun ride touring around the beautiful Mornington Peninsula stopping at Rye, Flinders and Red Hill. Roll the dice at each stop and win the big prize at the end of the day! Raffles and a sausage sizzle will keep you entertained along the way.

The Cavendish Campout 2017 hotrods and vintage caravans camping weekend is being held at Cavendish Recreation Reserve on the banks of the Wannon River from Thursday 6th – Monday 10th April.

On Thursday schnitzel tea at the Bunyip Hotel then big fire. Friday bench session by the big fire and the Ledsleds band. Saturday Miss Cavendish pinup competition – junior lady, junior man, adult lady, exotic lady sections. Tea at Bunyip Hotel or Bridge cafe. Harmer family and friends band and big fires. Australian Van Nationals

The Australian Van Nationals will be held on the 13th April to the 17th April 2017 at the Port Fairy Showgrounds. This is a fun event for the whole family. The main show day is Sunday 16th April and it kicks off at 9am and runs until 4pm.

The 2017 Mustang Nationals are being hosted by the Mustang Owners Club of NSW and are being held in Wollongong over Easter from the 14th to 17th April.

Classic and modern Mustangs, Mustang show ‘n’ shine and the concours entrant Display day is being held on Sunday 16th April 2017 with public viewing from 10am to 3pm in WA Lang Park on Marine Drive, Wollongong.

For entrants Friday evening 14th meet and greet, Saturday morning cruise and judging followed by evening dinner and auction. Sunday Nationals Display with evening presentation dinner and Monday wrap up.

Rock & Roll Rendezvous is a day full of fun and entertainment for rock and rollers of all ages. With hundreds of classic vehicles, music and dancing, children’s activities and the Fashions in the Field competition there is something for everyone. The National Motor Museum in the Adelaide Hills is home to the Rock & Roll Rendezvous, which happens each year in April. A day to celebrate all things from the Rock and Roll era – from fins and chrome to bobby socks and pony tails.

The 17th Falcon GT Nationals are being held in Perth on the 14th – 17th April 2017 and features a range of events for participants and the general public.

Shannons Classic Car Show

The display was formerly presented at Whiteman Park but this year the “Council of Motoring Clubs of Western Australia has move the display to Ascot Race course, 71 Grandstand Rd, Ascot WA 6104.

This exciting venue change has been well received and no doubt will bring a new lease of life to this premier event held annually on the Western Australian motoring calendar, with the support of most Western Australian motoring clubs with an annual participation of around 1000 vehicles on display with several thousand club members present and an estimated 10,000 members of the public in attendance.Contact: dale.jocelyn@bigpond.com

Pontiac Nationals

The Queensland Chapter is proud to announce the Australian Pontiac Nationals has been confirmed for Warwick, Queensland. The national Pontiac event is back in Queensland in 2017. Pontiacs from all over Australia will be converging on Warwick in the south of the state for the Easter break from Friday April 14 to Monday April 17. A full program of events is being organised including a car show, cruising, social activities, country touring and night functions. Don’t miss the largest ever gathering of Pontiacs in Queensland. The Rust and Chrome Carshow will be held on the 23rd of April 2017 at the Norwell Motorplex. Classic, muscle, chrome bumper and customs pre ‘78 and classic styled motorcycles welcome.

There is a Show and Shine carshow, on tar cruising sessions, 50s styled drag racing sessions, bike cruising and bike drags. Music provided by Memphis Mayhem Radio, A Pin-up Girl contest, food vans, licenced bar, trade stands and merchandise stands.

Beechworth Old Cranks Motor Club Inc are hosting their Drive Back in Time event on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th May 2017. Hat Head Rally

Kempsey Macleay Auto Restorers Club are pleased to present their 20th Hat Head Rally, for cars, utes and trucks over 30 years old. The weekend starts at 6pm on Friday 5th at the Hat Head Bowling and Recreation Club. Saturday and Sunday mornings the cars are displayed in the area near the Bowling Club for viewing. We then head off for a run. The cars will be viewed and judged by the public from 12 noon until 2pm. Viewing by the public is free. Please register early we are limiting entries to 100 vehicles. The Kombi Konvoy rolls up to the Nimbin Madigrass having wended its way from Byron Bay. Gathering at 11.30am in the public parking area, Somerset Street, Byron Bay and leaving at 12.30pm to Nimbin. Line the street to welcome up to 100 kombis! Meet the Kombi Konvoy for a world record attempt at the most joints ever lit at once in the one place…….Everyone is encouraged to roll a joint so that when the Konvoy has passed, at the call of the Nimbin time 4:20, we can light up simultaneously and please blow as much smoke as possible for the cameras.

Anniversary Rally

The Antique Car Club of Albury Wodonga are holding their 50th Anniversary Rally from the 18th till the 22nd May in 2017. As part of the celebrations they will be holding a five day rally in and around Albury which combines the 2017 Council of Heritage Motor Clubs N.S.W. Annual Rally (limited to 200 Cars) and the National Motoring Heritage Day (Albury-Wodonga) Display combining some 400 cars on the display day.

Classics by the Coast for 2017 is being held on Sunday the 28th May at Bell Park and is run by the All Classic Motor Club of Central Queensland Inc. Held annually on the first weekend in May since 1982, the Naracoorte Swap meet is one of the largest country Swap meets. It will be fully catered by local charitable organizations and hosted by the Naracoorte Historical Vehicle Club. Kustom Kulture Art and Lifestyle Show open Saturday and Sunday with sculpture, carving, tattoo flash, pinstriping, fine art, photography, carving and pin striping demonstrations throughout the weekend. Presentations Sunday will include “Top 10” Car show trophy presentation, Art prize presentation, Art Auction and Miss Wintersun Pin Up Contest.

Queensland Hot Rod Show

The Queensland Hot Rod Show stepped up big time in 2016, with extra floor space, lots of support and a really good vibe. In 2017, the Show will be back again, but will be moving from its traditional May time-slot, to June. Show manager Katrina Martin stated that the date change is prompted by a large truck show which takes up the Convention Centre at Southbank for much of May.

We have listened to your comments and feedback and are currently working hard to enhance the entertainment with no ticketed events by the festival. Top End Rumble
Top End Rumble is to be a pre ’65 run and the the official start is the 13th June 2017 at the Katherine Showgrounds. Our fantastic “as far as the eye can see” 300km rod run will start straight after breakfast on the 14th and take us to our venue in Darwin, The Sage Club Tropical Resort, where 10 days of exploring, adventure, cars and fun will begin. A gate separates the caravan park from the resort so those with caravans are right there at the venue also. We are a participating part of the Darwin Supercar weekend. So park your chariot (show quality or not) with the others adjacent to the start line on the grassed area.

MR2 Nationals

The MR2 Nationals is a bi-annual event to brings together MR2s and their owners from all over Australia for one huge weekend of motoring pleasure.  The MR2 Nationals 2017 in Adelaide, S.A. follows the first one in Goulburn 2003, Canberra in 2007, Bathurst 2009, Bright 2011, Hobart 2013 and Brisbane in 2015. This year’s event includes cruises, dinners and presentations.

Melbourne to Maffra Run

This run is open to all vehicles over 15 years of age (as of the start of the run.)

It is a gathering of a group of like-minded motoring enthusiasts that want to enjoy their toys. It is not a competition, rather a leisurely drive/ride through some of West and Central Gippsland’s most picturesque countryside. It is a 2 day run from Berwick to Maffra and return.

All Ford Day
The All Ford Day Show is being held on the 5th November 2017 at Bassendean Oval and entry will be from the east via Old Perth Road only. The show is open to only Ford Motor vehicles running Ford mechanicals. Entrants drive in from Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Albany, Bunbury and other country areas just to put their cars on show for the West Aussie public to enjoy.
