2021 Market Review - Ford F1/F100/F150 Lightning 1948-2006

Ford ‘F’ trucks have a substantial following in Australia and finding 1950s-60s versions that haven’t been modified is becoming quite difficult.

The quality of the modification and components used have an effect on pricing, especially when show-quality F-Trucks can exceed $100,000.

Such extremes aren’t common though, with $60,000 standing as the top value recently recorded at a local auction. Later (1970s-90s) F100s will typically be closer to factory stock and typical pricing for these dips below $25,000, 1980s versions with a 5.8-litre engine and perhaps 4WD make useful tow vehicles for your boat, race or other classic car and aren’t expensive either.

The supercharged F150 Lightning is up a little on previous years and should still stimulate collector interest.

F1 1948-51 $69,625 [4]

F100 1952-55 $68,415 [12]

F100 1956-67 $46,575 [23]

F100 1968-82 $28,825 [39]

F100 1983-90 $25,250 [19]

F150 Lightning 1999-2006 $68,745 [2]
