2021 Market Review - Cadillac 1961-2004

Australia saw lots of Cadillac imports during the 1960s-70s and plenty of those locally converted cars survive. Saying that, not all of the engineering back then was exemplary so when buying one that has been RHD for several decades, have it carefully checked.

Sedans and Coupe de Villes from the 1960-72 era can be found in decent condition from $30,000, however the asking prices for convertibles are climbing and you might pay $50K for an excellent car. Coupe versions of the big, front-wheel drive Eldorado are up a little but open-top cars hold steady at around $35,000.

Later, compact Eldorados and the unfortunate Seville were marketed as ‘economy’ Cadillacs but today not many buyers use them enough to be bothered by the savings in fuel consumption.
