2021 Market Review - Porsche 356/911/930 1957-1987

Anyone hoping that international financial turmoil might send the prices of pre-1980 Porsches backwards is due for some disappointment.

Early 911s remain in the region of $200,000, with the 2.0-2.4-litre ‘S’ leading the way. A four-cylinder 912 costs less than half the six-cylinder cars’ money. If you find a scarce 2.7-litre RS it will cost around $500,000 but other mid-1970s 911s remain below $125,000.

3.2-litre cars sold during the 1980s are more expensive again, with Cabrios at similar prices to fixed-roof cars.

Early 3.0-litre, four-speed Turbos are scarce but in demand and $250,000 is easily achieved by exceptional cars. Later 3.3-litre Turbos can be expensive as well.

356 Coupe $194,990 [5]

912 $62,250 [2]

911 1966-73 $219,150 [6]

911 1974-78 $114,180 [21]

911 1979-90 $137,665 [21]

911 Turbo 1976-78 $299,500 [1]

930 Turbo 1979-87 $225,550 [9]
