2021 Market Review - Jaguar XJS/XK8/XKR 1976-2009

Two-door Jaguar coupes with V12 or V8 engines should be revered as exotics and sell for more than they do. So far though, the market has ignored these Jags and not even the earliest and rarest XJS manual will make much above $30,000.

Money being sought for XJS convertibles in Australia has increased though and one was sold at auction for $90,000. XK8s first appeared in 1998 and are ageing with more grace than the XJS did.

Coupe values which dipped towards the mid-$20Ks are recovering and excellent supercharged XKR convertibles might again exceed $50,000. The XK150 not to be confused with similarly named cars from the 1950s – costs around $80,000 and is already collectible.

XJS Coupe 1976-82 $15,950 [8]

XJS HE 1983-87 $25,195 [11]

XJS V12 1988-93 $35,400 [5]

XJS V12 Conv. $64,650 [6]

XK8 Coupe/Conv $36,665 [6]

XKR Coupe/Conv. 1998-04 $63,015 [4]

XK150 V8 $84,990 [2]
