Holden Commodore/Calais VB-VL V8/Turbo - market review 2017-18

If you managed to snare a VL Calais Turbo a few years back then well done because values since we started tracking them in 2011 have trebled.

Basic VL SL Turbos are up as well but not to the same extent; their average helped in this survey by a couple of ex-police vehicles selling for up to $35,000.

Calais V8s are scarce at present and not growing at the Turbo?s pace.

VB-VH SL/E models continue to appreciate and are up 30 per cent on last year.

Unmodified 5.0-litre manual cars look set to remain above $30,000, with 4.2-litre autos below $25,000.

VB-VL V8s are up, but most have some form of modification which in the long term won?t help value growth.
