Ford Landau Ford Landaus are making solid money. Ford Landau

The big end of Ford town has some good buying.

Ford Fairlane ZC-ZK 351/LTD/Landau

Landau sellers have doubled their asking prices, keen presumably to make some money on the back of booming Falcon Hardtop values.

However the Landau is closer in character to the Fairlane-based LTD than a GT and we can’t see them topping $60,000 any time soon.

Other models in this category haven’t as yet been swept into the price maelstrom that’s affecting Falcons and Fairmonts, but that still might happen.

Most likely to succumb are ZC/ZD models with ‘351’ engines and extras like a sunroof or air-conditioning.

For a well-equipped big Ford at sensible money, consider an FC Series LTD - the one with the ‘Rolls-Royce’ grille - for around $15,000.

If you are really cash-strapped, $5000 buys a decent ZJ or ZK Fairlane.

ZC-ZD V8 $23,700 [18]

ZC-ZD 351 $30,375 [8]

ZF-ZH/Marquis $13,540 [24]

ZJ-ZK 351/LTD $5575 [9]

LTD 1973-79 $16,730 [11]

Landau $69,665 [3]
