Expensive to import and convert, these are a fun drive.

Should Holden ever deliver on its oft-repeated pledge to sell new Corvettes in Australia, the values shown below could be in for a nasty crash.
RHD conversion costs and various taxes add massively to the expense of getting a late-series Corvette onto Aussie roads, but when a manufacturer gets involved the unit costs are sliced dramatically.
That prospect is well worth considering before jumping into a 21st Century Corvette.
Early C5s drive nicely for what they are and $60,000 is probably enough for an excellent car.
The earliest C6s seem very modern but are now 10 years old and might be starting to creak a bit. Pay $80,000 for an early car, $110,000 for a 2009-12.
Chevrolet Corvette 1997-01 $66,250 [2]
Corvette 2002-05 $99,165 [6]
Corvette 2006-12 $126,885 [9]
