Ford XA-XB Falcon GT - market review

A whole lot cheaper than an XY but prices are on the rise.

Ford XA-XB Falcon GT - market review
There's still value to be found in an XA-XB GT.

If you want a Falcon GT that’s affordable and delivers at least as much enjoyment as XW-XY cars, take a look at the XA.

Most in the market are four-doors and cost less than $60,000. Want to save more money? Get an XB.

Values are up a bit because they don’t generate the appeal of chrome-bumper cars. Hardtop versions of either GT are getting difficult to find and values are increasing faster than those for sedans.

Falcon GT websites suggest that 891 XAs and 939 XB Hardtops were made but 75 percent of the XBs are reportedly ‘missing’.

The RPO83 XA is about as close as regular folks will come to owning a GT-HO Phase 4 but these are scarce as well and likely to bring $100-120,000.

XA GT Sedan $65,835 [6]

XA GT H/Top $81,125 [4]
XB GT Sedan $53,365 [9]

XB GT H/Top $69,000 [3]

RPO83 [N/S]

[recorded sales]

Values from 2015-16. Concours cars will fetch a premium.
