Chevrolet Bel-Air, Impala & Monte Carlo 1955-64 market review
Always popular and now getting pricey - premium Chevys have done well over time.
Chevrolet Bel-Air/Impala/Monte Carlo 1955-64 market review
Sixty-year-old Chevrolets might seem unlikely muscle car candidates but don't say that when someone with a fuellie V8 in their 57 Hardtop is listening.
Average money for a 1955-57 Bel-Air has reached $60,000 and the best cars exceed $100,000.
Getting 1960s models to really rumble involved specifying a big-block 348 or even 409 V8 and survivors can now be worth twice the price of a basic version.
Bat wing 1959-60 Impalas had a price surge some years back but the growth didn't last and they are in danger of being overtaken by the bubble top 1961 Impala.
The 1963-64 two-doors are slightly cheaper but any with a 409 big block can exceed $60,000.
