Buick numbers here aren't huge and the prices can be pretty sharp.

Buick 1963-72 market review

Australia didn't see a lot of Buick muscle cars when they were new, however recent arrivals have helped bolster local stocks.

Significant models like the brawny GS455 Stage 1 and later GNX are very scarce in our market and buying one of these or other keenly sought Buicks will entail a US trip.

The V6 Turbo Grand National is almost old enough to qualify for full LHD registration and offers good value.

The scarce GNX is expensive. If you prefer a V8, the 1960s Wildcat or Skylark ranges provide plenty of choice at $25,000-45,000.

Rivieras combine style and performance and only outstanding 1963-65 cars should cost more than $35,000.

Model Year Value Number of sales recorded
Wildcat 1963-70 $29,100 [5]
Skylark V8 1964-72 $26,765 [9]
GS350/GS400/455 1968-72 $53,000 [2]
Riviera 1963-70 $28,440 [10]

Valuations from 2015-16. Concours cars will fetch a premium.
