With the 10th anniversary of Brock's passing coming up, the Dreamworld crew is putting on a tribute
From Dreamworld in Queensland:
Home to the world’s largest collection of Peter Brock racing cars, Dreamworld will pay homage to the ‘King of the Mountain’ in September by holding a special tribute dinner to honour the 10th anniversary of Brock’s passing.
In a one-off event, fans can join motor racing legends Dick Johnson (DJR Team Penske), Rod Nash (Pro Drive Racing) and Peter Champion (Champions Group) for a night of reminiscing and storytelling about their experiences on and off the track with Brock.
Held in Brock’s Garage at Dreamworld’s new Motorsports Precinct on September 10, guests will dine among 28 of Brock’s original and tribute cars with canapes on arrival, a two course menu and a four-hour beverage package.
Dreamworld CEO Craig Davidson said the event was a unique opportunity to celebrate Brock’s life, his achievements and the legacy he left for the sport.
“Brock was always larger than life, an inspiring character who made his mark on Australian history over three massive decades,” said Mr Davidson.
“We are honoured to be welcoming some of the motor racing royalty to Brock’s Garage at Dreamworld to pay tribute to this sporting legend. No doubt there will be many interesting tales and entertaining memories to be shared at the dinner.”
Guests can also test their racing skills on the V8 Redline Simulators and pick up the latest branded team racing gear from Dreamworld’s Trackside retail and entertainment on the night.
Limited tickets available only online at Dreamworld.com.au until sold out: $195 per person, $1850 per table of ten.
A first of its kind, Dreamworld’s Motorsports Precinct opened in December 2015 and is home to Brock’s Garage, the world’s first Hot Wheels themed rollercoaster – the Hot Wheels SideWinder, Grid Burger and Sports Bar and Trackside retail and entertainment outlet.
