Brand New McLaren F1 for sale!

Hyper car royalty up for grabs

Do you ever wish you could travel back in time so you could purchase a McLaren F1 when they were brand new and factory fresh?

Well, you need wish no longer, because automotive dealer Tom Hartley JNR in the UK is offering an F1 with just 239 kilometres on the clock from new!

What is even more remarkable than the minute mileage, which the seller says is the McLaren pre-delivery test mileage, is that not only has the F1 never been driven, it’s never even been registered.

This becomes blatantly obvious when you look at the photos of the Dandelion Yellow automotive icon, as the interior is still completely covered in its pre-delivery packaging.

The F1 is chassis number 60, and comes with all accompanying accoutrements you would expect of a brand new car such as leather-cased owner’s handbooks, the Facom tool chest, tool roll with gold-plated titanium toolset, full luggage set, spare keys and even the uber-rare accompanying TAG Heuer commemorative watch complete with chassis number engraved on the dial.

Chassis number 60 was also optioned from new with a spare LM style exhaust system and GTR style steering wheel with the ‘F1’ logo in the centre of the steering wheel painted in the same Dandelion Yellow as the cars exterior.

And, as if all this aforementioned awesomeness wasn’t enough, number 60 was also optioned with a removable steering wheel shrouded in alcantara, carbon driver’s seat and even a hand painted signature of the cars designer, Gordon Murray.

Tom Hartley JNR has the car listed as £POA, and it’s hard to imagine just how much that POA represents.

However, a McLaren F1 sold at a Bonhams auction at pebble beach earlier on this year for a record breaking $15.62 million US dollars (roughly $20 million Aussie dollars), and that car had over 15,000 kilometres on the clock, so, expect the yellow one to be worth a fair bit more than $20 million in our currency.
