Significant cars, motorcycles and much more on offer
Shannons Spring online auction looks like being a record-setter for the company with over 170 lots on offer.
The Nov-11-18 event includes over 40 garagernalia offerings, around 20 numberplates, a couple of significant motorcycle collections plus around 70 cars.
For example, if you’re a Ford Capri nut, lot 173 will be right up the top of your shopping list. It’s a 1974 RS3100, withy an estimate of $65-75,000.
Just 250 homologation cars were built initially, with another 100 Group 2 special editions to follow. At the heart is a warmed-up version of the V6 Essex powerplant.
The chassis came in for a lot of attention, with the car lowered and offering very different suspension to a ‘normal’ road car.
This would have been an expensive bit of kit back in the day, and we’re told only 50 examples made it to Australia, out of the initial production.
We reckon it’s still a looker and you won’t be short of people to talk to at any Ford show.
The lot descriptions are still being compiled, but you can see what’s on offer here.
