Three days of cruises and shows for Chryslers (and people) of all ages.
Adelaide, the spiritual home of Chrysler in Australia, will play host to a must-see event for owners of all models from classic to modern. Formerly known as the All Chrysler Day, and run by the Chrysler Car Club of South Australia (CCCSA), it is a huge weekend celebration now known as the Adelaide Chrysler Festival.
The theme “then and now” pays homage to the impressive variety of modern Chryslers available in the last 20 years, alongside the historic and classic models. CCCSA Event Coordinator Damien Tripodi said that the show will feature the all new Dodge Challenger. He aims to introduce a younger generation to the Chrysler brand.
He says the extended Chrysler family will be on display, including Valiant, Dodge, Plymouth, DeSoto, Fargo, Maxwell, and British cousins Hillman, Humber, Sunbeam and Singer.
Club President Iain Carlin said, “This year, we encourage all Chrysler owners to bring out and celebrate their vehicles’ heritage, even if the cars are not in ‘show’ condition. So if you own any Chrysler, from any era, from a barn find to a daily driver, highly modified to an immaculate restoration, all owners or enthusiasts are encouraged to attend.”
There will be three days of activities, held at various locations in and around the city. Incorporating the All Chrysler Day annual show on the Sunday, this will make it the largest and most diverse Chrysler event in the country. The festival also will feature a touring run, a meet and greet with guest speakers and a MoPar MegaCruise on the Saturday.
The festival runs from Friday March 24 until Sunday March 26. Further information can be found on the Chrysler Car Club of South Australia website.
