Bentley 1948-2006 – 2021 Market Review

2021 Market Review - Bentley 1948-2006

Owning a Bentley or related post-WW2 Rolls-Royce requires commitment and a substantial budget.

$30,000 will buy low-end examples of the Turbo R, 1970s T Type or a decent 1980s Mulsanne. Scrupulous maintenance is essential and repair costs should you choose the wrong car could be extreme.

Of the earlier models, S1-S3 sedans currently cost $50-80,000 but may follow Rolls-Royce Silver Clouds into $100,000+ territory.

The more recent Arnage and Continental Flying Spur are conventional luxury sedans and typically cost $80-100,000. Available for similar money but with more flair is the two-door Continental 3W GT; with twin turbochargers and 411kW helping shift its 2.3 tonnes.

Mark VI/R Type $64,500 [5]

S1-S3 Saloon $66,190 [6]

T1 Saloon $41,395 [5]

Eight/Mulsanne 1981-89 $39,310 [5]

Turbo R 1984-90 $43,990 [4]

Arnage 2001-03 $92,315 [3]

Continental Flying Spur 2005-09 $83,920 [7]

Continental GT 2004-09 $91,475 [15]
