2021 Market Review - Austin-Healey 1953-1968
‘Big’ Healeys had their origins almost 70 years ago yet remain as attractive and popular as they were in the 1950s. 100/4 versions are gaining value faster than six-cylinder models and exceptional cars can make $120,000. The same amount buys an excellent 3000 2+2 which offers comfortable classic transport for the couple with two smallish children or a large dog.
Those in the market for a smaller, less costly sports car will find two versions of the Sprite in very different price brackets.
The ‘Bug-Eye’ Mark 1 dates from 1958 and generally costs more than $25,000 while later Mark 2-3A models almost always sell for less than $20,000.
Sprite Mark 1 $36,500 [1]
Sprite Mark 2/3/3A $15,150 [8]
100/4 $94,300 [13]
100/6 $84,150 [3]
3000 Mk1-3 $92,185 [12]
