Hosting the GT Club of Vic is an annual tradition with plenty of eye-candy on display
Family traditions come in many forms. For Australian Muscle Car Sales – one of the highlights of their calendar is the weekend before Sydney’s All Ford Day, when they play host to many members of the GT Club of Victoria who are in town for the Blue Oval festivities.
This weekend past saw them take in up to 50 members from down south, who either flew in or drove up to Sydney. They treated them to a massive feast, plenty of eye-candy, and an all-round good time!
Vermillion Fire was obviously the flavour of the day, with four genuine Phase III GT-HOs – including an original and unrestored example which took out Grand Champion (and numerous other trophies) at the recent GT Nats in Adelaide.
Also rubbing shoulders was a rare Vermillion Fire GT-HO with rare sunroof option that’s in the midst of a concours restoration. It’s believed to be the only remaining survivor of just three that left the factory.
We asked Rod from AMCS whether the precious metal in attendance were customer cars or their own, he stated: “some are our own inventory, but the rest are customer cars. When we sell a car to a customer, they often end up becoming good friends of ours”.
It looks like a Saturday well spent to us, we’re jealous we weren’t in town for the delicious spread.
They’re a friendly bunch over at AMCS, you’re more than welcome to pop in for a visit at 20 Commercial Road, Kingsgrove New South Wales.
