1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500

The Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 was one of the greatest competition cars by Ford and could melt the tarmac like the cartoon roadrunner. It won everything in Group A touring cars and in rallying. Only 500 were made hence the RS500 and after production by Ford, they went to Aston Martin Tickford for major fettling. Power went up to 167kW/277Nm thanks to a bigger turbo and much more. This one is said to be in showroom condition and has clocked just 8355 kms. The price achieved is 30 times its new car price.

 

1967 ‘Eleanor’ Mustang Fastback

Over the years many special Mustangs have been made and the Eleanor is right up there thanks to its starring role in the cult flick Gone In 60 Seconds. This one had a four-year resto and presents superbly. It’s now powered by a 347ci stroker, bolted to an auto trans and is guaranteed to grab your attention when you nail it. Finished in a stunning grey hue with black trim it shows 27,977 miles on the clock.

 

1988 Citroen 2CV Dolly Special

Citroen’s 2CV was a landmark car for the brand. The diminutive Frenchie oozes eccentricity and its design brief was to be able to carry two farmers and a basket of eggs across a ploughed field at 50km/h without breaking any of them. Its interconnected independent suspension ensured success. This Dolly Special has a 600cc two-cylinder engine. It underwent a refurb in the UK in 2019 before emigrating to Australia.

There’s A certain something about a Ferrari in Rosso Corsa with black interior that looks right This Targa 328 GTS is a solid example of Enzo’s boys handiwork in the mid-1980s. Behind the occupants lies a 3.2-litre V8 anchored to a five-speed box. Sold new in the UK it arrived here in 2008 and has 73,000 km on the clock. It sold with its owner book pack and files of maintenance invoices and receipts. The plates are also sold with the car.

Spare a thought for this pony that started off as a Ford factory test car so journos could thrash it to an inch of its life. Since leaving the clutches of FoMoCo, its most recent home has been the Horton Classic Car Museum. The Silver Jade R-code 428ci Super Cobra Jet Mach 1 has a C6 auto box and is one of two ordered by Ford as special purpose vehicles as per its Elite Marti Report. It is well decked out and is being offered with no reserve.
