1992 Honda NSX
Shannons 40th Anniversary Timed Online Auction
23-30 November, 2021
Lot 200
Estimate: $80,000-$100,000
When Honda introduced the NSX it changed the supercar paradigm. Here was a one you could use all day, every day. There was no fear of will-it or will-it-not proceed inflicting some of the other established brands. F1 aceAyrton Senna had a hand in its development. It was everything a supercar should be except for its lack of pedigree, resulting in slow to almost no sales. Around 250 landed in Australia, so it’s very exclusive and prices are finally heading back on the way up after dropping to as little as $50 grand not that many years ago.

1993 Subaru SVX
Shannons 40th Anniversary Timed Online Auction
23-30 November, 2021
Lot 195
Estimate: $24,000-$28,000
The Subaru SVX was a radical departure for Subaru, known more for its Brumby utes and Leone sedan. The SVX took centre stage of the Subaru stand at the 1989 Tokyo Motorshow. A concept initially, it was penned by Giorgetto Giugiaro of ItalDesign. Its signature was its split side windows, not dissimilar to the Lamborghini Countach and Giugiaro-designed DeLorean. New it cost $73,000 and only 249 were sold here, all powered by a 3.3-liter horizontally opposed flat-six. This one is finished in black over grey.
