It was a celebration of all things Aussie last Sunday at Queensland Raceway with close to 500 Australian-built cars taking part in the All Aussie 'Fair Dinkum' family day

Queensland Raceway has a real knack for putting on fantastic theme days and this year’s All Aussie ‘Fair Dinkum’ Day is about as fair dinkum as it gets with close to 500 cars taking part in the Show ‘n’ Shine and on track shenanigans with happy laps sometimes turning into impromptu rolling start drag races with Lakeside’s main straight serving up loud, fast and smokey fun for all the family.

With entry and on track session prices at $10 and VIP packages for $40 it’s no wonder the number of cars was large, the only downside being some sessions became gridlocked around the back of the course which caused some issues for the highly-modified among the cruisers, but with backseats full of kids and numerous teens in the pits blagging rides in anything it’s one hell of a way to spend a ‘quiet’ Sunday.
