2018’s event honours the platinum jubilee of Porsche
Salon Privé 2018 again cemented itself as a standout event in the international classic car community, hosting two separate Concours celebrations within the same event.

Taking place on September 1, two days after Salon Privé’s own Concours d’Elegance, the second Concours Masters event honoured Porsche’s 70 year anniversary.
Ovor 40 examples of Stuttgart’s best gathered on the manicured lawn of Blenheim Palace in a more relaxed environment, closer to a marque celebration than a traditional competitive Concours.
Overall Owner’s Choice Award went to a one-of-150 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo Cup, with the Runner’s Up awarded to an ultra-rare 1956 Porsche 356A Cerrera GS Coupe.
A black 1957 356A Carrera Speedster, the last of four right-hand drive Speedsters of its kind similarly took out the Ladies’ Choice award, along with Best Engine and Best Open Car.
Salon Privé Managing Director and Concours Chairman Andrew Bagley gifted an immaculate 1968 912 Coupe with the Chariman’s Award, with the People’s Choice trophy gifted to the shiny-new 2018 Porsche 991 GT2 RS.
Next year’s Concours Masters event will be dedicated to Bentley, the luxury British sports car maker. 2019 will see Bentley celebrate their centenary celebrations, with various of the world’s top Bentley collectors gathering on the Blenheim Palace lawns.
